Camp Shenanigans, Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Given the terrible, pounding headache of a bad feeling that this location was giving Anakin, he almost cancelled the shenanigans for the week. But then he decided that if people were really looking for a distraction, he should provide it.

Today's shenanigans were being held in the school auditoriam--Anakin would grant townies temporary access to the school building in order to keep the students from wandering further from the dorms than absolutely necessary--and seemed to be revolving around several thousand ballpit balls in the center of the auditorium.

And laundry baskets.

And scooters.

"Welcome to Sentient Lifeform Hungry Hungry Hippos!" Anakin yelled through his megaphone. "Everyone will be divided into four teams. You will then pair up into beings on their stomach holding the laundry baskets and people pushing them by their legs. Every team will cycle through all of their players. The team with the most balls at the end wins! Come pick up your t-shirts!"

Because of course there were t-shirts.

Fjord was still grinning confidently as he went to lay himself down on the scooter, reaching for the laundry basket.

"Shall we?"

Yup. This'd go great.

It was, after all, a good distraction from the murderous people outside.

He was nothing, if not encouraging.

If the deep rumbling growl in the back of his throat as he frowned down at the scooter wasn't any indication, Wayne was...not fond of this twist of fate.

He'd complain about it, too, except, that, really, it was only fairrrrr...

"Right," Shuri said, all business. "This is just about...leverage and thrust, right? We can figure it out."

"Leverage," Wayne agreed. "...and thrust."

His squint got a little harder, and he sucked in a nearly imperceptible breath.

"Well," he said, more to himself than anything, with a sigh just as small as the breath the preceded it and he went to go lay flat on the scooter, "pitter-patter..."

It was only fairrrrr, he reminded himself, much to his chagrin.

"Let's see if we can win this!" Iris said, determined to at least do better than they'd done in the first round. "Now that we've done it once it ought to be easy, right?"

"Easier, anyway?" Peter was dubious. Still, he could shapeshift to put his arms further onto his back, so it was easier to hold the basket thing.
