Diiiiiid Anakin feel the slightest bit bad about exposing students to all of this radiation as they stood outside to un-decorate the school bus?

Well, maybe a slight, slight bit, but he wouldn't admit it. He'd say they shouldn't have defaced a piece of school property during a nuclear winter.

But he had handed out breathing masks!

...Okay, Stormtrooper helmets.

And even modified one for Vette! Wow, what a guy. It almost made up for the fact that he'd put a strict "no powers allowed" rule in place as the three students (and Kanan) were forced to de-floaty the bus--and then clean it and repaint it, in case the duct tape ruined the finish--using nothing more than soapy water, toothbrushes, toothpicks and the smallest paintbrushes Anakin could find that would still hold bus paint correctly.

Hope you didn't have anything else planned for the days, guys.

Yeah, Vette had never, ever seen a helmet made for a Twi'lek before. She was hugging hers and bouncing on her toes.

"This is the best! You're the best! I'm going to do so much neat stuff to your bus for this!"

... She was not an easy girl to punish.

"Were we, like, supposed to be wearing these all week?????????" she asked.

Because if the answer was no, then she wasn't wearing that.

But, sure, she'd be clambering up on top of the bus to figure out how to get ANAKIN the unicorn off the top.

That was... genuine, actually. Sure, he was shouty, but her experiences with Anakin so far only meant she thought he was pretty great.

And now he had a dorky helmet that modulated his voice to make him sound like a pilot in one of his video games, so guess who had no intention of shutting up while he worked?

"Hey," he suggested as he geared up with a toothbrush and bucket, "how about some tunes to help this go along, huh? Anyone else know '99 Cans of Ebony on the Wall?' Don't worry; it's suuuuuper easy to pick up!"

It was amazing, really, how, with just the turn of his head upwards, even with the helmet on, one could still tell the shocked and excited expression that was likely on Prompto's face just then.

"We get to keep them?"

...oh, shit, he already had a brilliant idea, especially if he wound up with two of them.

"I think, like, he has no way of getting Vette's back," Nina noted, "and if Vette gets to keep hers, then I'm definitely not giving mine back either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Not that she was wearing hers. And was, in fact, trying to give it away.

But those were small details.
