Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
As the picnic continued, there were tables and chairs arranged on the lawn, the food smelled delicious and inviting, and no one was going to be bitey without explicit consent. Hopefully, everyone would take some time to enjoy themselves!
[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
Getting her to stay in bed all weekend, though, was really not going to happen, so here was Beau, helping herself to generous portions of food from the tables.
And, yes, stuffing bacon in her pockets. What? She was healing up here. She needed all the nourishment she could get.

She'd have said that if she was missing half her blood and possibly a limb, too, but Steve probably knew that type already, huh?
Beau cleared her throat and added, gruffly and somewhat awkwardly, "Thanks, though. For dragging my ass out of there."
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
"Of course," he said, waving it aside. "No one left behind, right? Oh! I made you something. I know when I get knocked around, I'm not up for cooking."
He was never up for cooking. Don't front, Steve. "So I made you a casserole."
Tony tried to stop him, Beau. He did. "It's potatoes," he said, handing her a covered dish. "And cheese."
And cream of something soup.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
She was going to eat it anyway, to be honest. She'd lived off monastery food for a good long while, and that tended to skew your tastes somewhat. Besides, she was never up for cooking either.
It did look a little bit dubious when she looked at it, though. "Uh. Thanks?"
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
Painfully earnest.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
"You really didn't have to," she said. "Like, I kinda feel like this is the sort of thing where it should be the other way around, since you're the one who saved my ass?"

He had a uniform and matching shield. He fought a lot.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
Beau, someone is going to have to have a talk with you about your cavalier attitude toward, oh, your own mortality.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
"Exactly," Steve said. "Sometimes you just gotta stand up."
Every time, if you were Steve. Every. Damn. Time.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
". . . I mean, I'm not that particular about it," Beau said, the raised eyebrow twitching slightly higher still. "Sometimes I just want to get in a good fight. It's not, like, a principle thing."
Sorry, Steve. She was kind of a neutral-alignment little punk right now.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
Much to the collective despair of everyone who knew him.

She trailed off for a second, then snapped her fingers.
"You're kind of like cilantro."

Don't look smug about this, Beauregard.

That might change when she actually tried the casserole, though.
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
"I'll take that as a win and make a strategic retreat, then," Steve said with a smile. "Tell Karolina I say hello."
Re: General Mingling [Summer 2019]
She could have made that sound less like a complaint, but hey, at least she said it.
