Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

As the picnic continued, there were tables and chairs arranged on the lawn, the food smelled delicious and inviting, and no one was going to be bitey without explicit consent. Hopefully, everyone would take some time to enjoy themselves!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Yeah, to be honest that conversation would just go in one ear and out the other anyway.

". . . I mean, I'm not that particular about it," Beau said, the raised eyebrow twitching slightly higher still. "Sometimes I just want to get in a good fight. It's not, like, a principle thing."

Sorry, Steve. She was kind of a neutral-alignment little punk right now.

"It's the shield, right? In my defense, someone else picked the code name and color scheme for me," Steve said.

"No," Beau said, squinting up at him and making an all-encompassing sort of gesture with her free hand. "It's like . . . your whole . . . okay, like, you know how there are certain flavors that people either love or hate, it's really an either-or situation? I kinda feel like the vibe you give off is the kind where some people find it reassuring, but it also just makes certain people want to hit you."

She trailed off for a second, then snapped her fingers.

"You're kind of like cilantro."

"I'll take that as a win and make a strategic retreat, then," Steve said with a smile. "Tell Karolina I say hello."

She could have made that sound less like a complaint, but hey, at least she said it.
