BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning [05/04].

"What the ever-loving fuck is a Portalocity Lounge?"

Apparently, it was precisely the place where Wayne was standing, squared shoulders, thumbs in his belt loops, frowning up at the softest, most sparkliest banner he had ever seen...and he'd een to at least a baker's dozen of Dary's traditional soft birthday parties, so he knew a soft fucking banner when he saw one.

"That," he stated, to no one in particular, especially since he seemed to be the first one there (if you're not five minutes early, you're five minutes late, bud), "is fucking 10-ply."

But it was what it was. No going back now, ain't no reason to get excited, he supposed. Pitter-patter. So he turned his head sharply to one side of the lounge, eyed the chairs against the wall, and went to have a seat, one hand on his knee, tohe other around the smallest cup of coffee he could get, and settled in to wait.

[[ and the ocd is incoming has landed! Let's get at 'er. ]]

Shuri had a large, colorful bag slung over her shoulder, a small bracelet of kimoyo beads on her left wrist and a woman who was watching her from a cafe a careful distance away.

"This is for Fandom?" she asked, checking the sign. Her eyes lit up at Wayne's coffee cup. "Oooh, is that Starbucks? I've always wanted to try Starbucks."

"Who is Tim Hortons?" Shuri asked politely.

"And what part of Tim's...bits...would I be eating, exactly?" Shuri asked teasingly.

"I can definitely see how that might change my life," Shuri said, grinning wider. "I am Shuri. Who are you?"

"Very well, thank you," she replied. "What made you choose to come to a boarding school?"

"Oh, is there a Starbucks here?" Okuyasu said, his eyes also lighting up at that prospect. "There's not too many of those in Japan yet."

At least, not in 1999.

Okuyasu was in for multiple shocks.

"There are zero in Wakanda," Shuri complained, "though my brother promises that will change. Eventually."

"Geography isn't my strong suit," Okyasu said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Is it okay if I ask where that is?"

He'd ask about the brother who could make Starbucks happen after that.

"Right, right," Okuyasu said, nodding as if he knew exactly where that was (he didn't). "And your brother's an important business man who can make a Starbucks?"

That was pretty impressive.

"Something like that," Shuri said. "He's the king."
