Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The lawn was arranged with tables and chairs - some near the food, some not - and there was plenty of food to go around. The school had even wised up and put to-go boxes by the plates, so people didn't have to put food in their pockets to take it with them for later. No one was gonna judge you for making some pocket bacon, but at least now it wasn't a necessity.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Why yes, that was a small bundle consisting of a winter scarf, some gloves, and a hat, all being thrown Entrapta's way. Yes, they were purple. Sparkle could appreciate a good colour scheme when he saw one.

Entrapta's hair reached out and caught the bundle before it could hit her. "Ooooh," she said, examining each of them. Camouflage for the social experiment! Wonderful. "Thank you!" she called, waving at him.

Yes, with her hair. Look, it was how she did most things.

Sparkle gave her a grin and a thumbs-up! Either in lieu of a 'you're welcome,' or because her hair was just that fucking awesome.

Possibly both.

Knowing Sparkle, definitely both.

"Are you a merchant?" Entrapta asked, scuttling towards him on a nest of hair. A nest of hair with legs.

Now that she was away from her castle and her servants and her robots, she would need to figure out how to obtain all the materials she would need for her experiments. Locating a merchant would be the first step!

In fact, she should note that while she remembered it. "Log. Hour seven. Hour eight? Hour eight of this journey to the 'school.' I need to remember to find merchants."

"I sell clothes," Sparkle confirmed, finding that he really actually liked the sound of that word. 'Merchant.' Made him sound way more put-together than 'clothing store guy,' anyway. "And sometimes soap, I guess. But mostly clothes."

Her hair was fascinating, holy shit.

"Clothes, huh?" Entrapta looked unimpressed. Considering she was wearing a grease-stained t-shirt and a pair of purple coveralls, clothes likely didn't place high on her interests. "Is there a place I can go for useful things?"

Not nice to say to the guy just handed you clothing to keep warm, Entrapta. Though, to be honest, when she got cold, she mostly just bundled in her hair.

Sparkle managed, mostly, to refrain from giving her a stinkeye.

"Depends what you consider useful," he replied. "Food? Music?"

She didn't even change her clothing for prom, Sparkle. It wasn't you, she was just hopeless.

"Machinery!" she declared, all excitement. "Machinery and technology and gadgets and robots! Oh! AND TINY FOOD!"

Sparkle was going to owe Tony so much for flinging him bodily under this particualr bus.

"Try Stark Industries for machinery," he offered. "Or the scrapyard, if you're into restoring broken-down stuff instead, I guess. And," he paused. "Tiny food? I think there might be mini-sliders at Mooby's?"

What was tiny food? Was that tiny food? Sparkle did not know.

Honestly, Entrapta mostly lived on mini pastries, so even Mooby sliders would probably be a step up, nutrion-wise.

"You know lots of things, Clothing Merchant!" she said, with enthusiastic appreciation. And then extended a tendril of hair with a tiny cupcake shaped like a (slightly smushed) pig in gratitude.

Eh, he'd enjoyed worse.
