Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Everyone had been keeping a close eye on the weather, and gave a sigh of relief as it turned out to be a pretty decent day. Sure, it was still a little warm, but it wasn't humid, or raining something strange. You had to take your wins where you could get them around here.

As usual, there was a buffet of food awaiting the folks on the welcome shuttle, and blue and gold tables and chairs were set up across the lawn, most still covered in glitter from the last picnic. Sorry ~~not~~! Happy picnic day!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Really," Tony asked. "Never thought about using your wiles against me to get your way?"

Because Tony couldn't say he didn't do that to Steve at least.

Steve's cheeks went pink. "Well. Maybe."

Tony beamed, bumping his shoulder against Steve's. "I'll be good."

"I appreciate that," Steve said sincerely.

"Should we take bets on how long it takes before something weird happens with this batch?"

"A month," Steve decided.

"Two weeks," Tony countered.

"What are we betting?" Steve asked.

"Off island date night," Tony replied after a moment's thought.

"How far off island?" Steve asked. "We talkin' Brooklyn or Fiji?"

"Winner's choice," Tony replied with a grin.

"Deal," Steve said, holding his hand out.

"Deal," Tony replied, taking that hand for a firm Businessman Who Makes Very Important Deals shake.

"I feel like we should be holding a giant check or getting our picture taken or something," Steve said.

"Cutting ribbons and the like?" Tony suggested, laughing at that.

"Exactly," Steve said. "It was a very hearty handshake."

"Businessman," he replied in a little sing-song.

Steve laughed at him. "Are you? I'd never heard that."

"Wheel and deal with the best of 'em," Tony replied, leaning in to make sure Steve didn't forget that.

"Is that maybe how you became a billionaire?"

"It could be," Tony replied. "Or it could be that inheritance."

He wasn't going to pull a Trump and not mention that one.

"Maybe a little of both," Steve agreed.

"At least 25% is my charm."

Sure. Let's go with that.

Steve kissed his forehead. "Sure, let's go with that."

Tony smiled, all soft and private as he just soaked up any type of coupley PDA like a sponge.
