Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Everyone had been keeping a close eye on the weather, and gave a sigh of relief as it turned out to be a pretty decent day. Sure, it was still a little warm, but it wasn't humid, or raining something strange. You had to take your wins where you could get them around here.

As usual, there was a buffet of food awaiting the folks on the welcome shuttle, and blue and gold tables and chairs were set up across the lawn, most still covered in glitter from the last picnic. Sorry ~~not~~! Happy picnic day!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Can I sip it, though?" she asked, barely waiting for him to finish that sentence.

"Sure," Steve said, holding out the spare immediately.

Kitty took it and sipped it, and then realized the problem.

"Oh no. Now I have it."

"Do you need me to take it back or to keep an eye out to warn you if Barton's coming?" Steve asked. "I'm good with either."

"It's too late. He has radio," Kitty said, sneaking another sip. Look.

"You may get blamed and for that I'm sorry?"

"I can take the heat," Steve said with a grin.

"You're not getting this back," she decided. "I don't know whose it was but it's too late for them."

"It was another refill for Tony and he really doesn't need one," Steve said. "Drink's all yours."

"Thank you. And I'll thank Tony too once I vibrate on over there," she said.

"He'd love to say hi," Steve said earnestly. "You're not teaching this semester, right?"

"Nope, I'm due right in the middle of it," she said, sipping again like someone might take it away from her and if anyone gave her a judgey look she would punch them in their actual face. "I actually thought about doing it anyway but I have the bar too, so let's not push it."

She'd like to think she'd be back on her feet three hours later, but she knew better. At least most of the boss stuff she could do at home.
