Rory situated herself behind the desk and became deeply absorbed in a well-worn copy of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Anakin certain didn't put a body onto his completely nonexistant happy face.

Or having it holding hands with the other happy face.

Because a guy's gotta have some sense of pride.

Then he remembered his conversation with Angel.

Need to talk to you about someone, he wrote, Who knows about this.

He didn't draw a line up to the stick figures. Because they weren't there, obviously.

Rory's eyes went wide, and she felt her stomach drop.

An awful lot of people did know about them at that point. And...Anakin didn't know about several of them. Oops.

Who? she scrawled, her cursive as neat as ever in spite of her sudden anxiety.

Anakin took the paper and crumpled it in his hand. He smiled. "I'm going to spend a few more hours on my homework because I'm just that much fun on a Friday night," he said. "See you around?"
