Rory situated herself behind the desk and became deeply absorbed in a well-worn copy of To Kill a Mockingbird.

[*cries at LJ* So sorry for the delay, people. For some reason, LJ hates my OCD and kept eating my comments. Hence why there is no lunchtime in the library today, unless I manage to fix it somehow.]

"They're very shy," Rory added.

Angela blinked. "That's ... I'm sure I would be really upset if I had any idea what that meant."

Zero gave Angela a quick ~~handwavey, la la la look upthread~~ explanation of the plight of the Teal Deer in Fandom's preserve. "So you see, we have to do something. Have fundraiser rallies. Sell Teal Deer t-shirts. Or glitter flags. Teal Deer/Life?"

Angela ~~looked upthread~~ listened closely, looking serious. "Oh my god, the poor little things. Who goes around talking at animals?"

As if she hadn't spent part of her Thursday gossiping with Faithful.

She pushed her hair back. "We should make the brunch a fundraiser. Like, give us $2 to help buy the land, or something."

"I know!" Rory smiled. "We should have another protest."

"We SHOULD," Angela said. "Especially if we can make Marty hug a butler again."

"Plus, it's for a good cause."

"And there wouldn't be an breaking and entering or petty theft this time!" Rory agreed.

"Unless absolutely necessary," Angela said. "Who would we be protesting to? Are there hunters on the island?"

"Probably," Rory said solemnly.

"That's a good idea. People always come to charity thingies where there's food."
