Rory situated herself behind the desk and became deeply absorbed in a well-worn copy of To Kill a Mockingbird.

"You sure? Because maybe she thinks you have a thing for Bridge because she sees something there while she's actually the one with a thing for him?" He asked and damnit, he shouldn't care because flinging, zomg.

Cameron frowned, opened his mouth, closed it again and frowned some more.

"What did she tell you?" He finally asked.

"She didn't tell me anything." Rory tapped her temple. "Call it women's intuition. Or, I don't know, not being blind."

"Hmm." Rory thought about this. "I don't think you would? But hmm. You're not going to know if you don't try. And she's gone for the weekend, anyway. Plenty of time to mull it over."

"Yeah, I'll uh... think it over." He shifted his weight on his other leg and motioned to the bag. "Anyway, I just dropepd by to say thanks and bring you cake. So I'll leave you to it."
