Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

The weather was lovely, the newbies had survived their shuttle, and yes, all the holes in the lawn from graduation had been filled and covered with new grass so everything looked normal and pretty. Well, pretty, at least.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Well, plan subtle observation hadn't worked.

"Hey." Theron awkwardly waved back and tried to remember enough Mando'a that wouldn't start a massive brawl (Master Zho had interesting ideas about the best ways to learn a language). He managed a passable, if oddly accented and archaic, greeting.

Sabine was too tired to brawl today anyway. Probably. She was Mandalorian.

Unless she wanted to hear some amazingly rude and creative things about her mother, which he doubted.

"Better than most people," she said. "Where'd you learn Mando'a?"

Theron shrugged. "Here and there," he said, which wasn't actually a case of being deliberately vague. "M- my father and I travelled a lot. Usually the more interesting parts of the galaxy."

"And hung out with Mandalorians? That's a choice." It wasn't like she didn't know their rep.

Another shrug. "He thought it'd be helpful to know how to handle myself around all sorts of people." Especially given that whole Mandalorian-Jedi rivaly thing separate from the Mandalorian-Sith alliance thing. "I know how to start bar fights in a lot of different languages."
