The weather was lovely, the newbies had survived their shuttle, and yes, all the holes in the lawn from graduation had been filled and covered with new grass so everything looked normal and pretty. Well, pretty, at least.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Karolina was on a mission: a mission to talk to all the new kids at the picnic. And Astrid had the honor of being the first.

So here she was, with her basket. "Astrid?" she asked. "Hi! I'm Karolina, I'm your new guidance counselor."

Oh, man. Barely through the door, and already, they were sending the guidance counselor at her. That couldn't be good.

She looked up from her plate, staring a bit owlishly at the woman before swallowing her bite of a burger.
