Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather had turned out absolutely lovely for today's picnic, through no interference of dark magic (as far as anyone knew). The bonfire had been scrapped for the season, replaced with more blue and gold chairs and tables for people to sit at. The usual buffet was out, and this time there were plates and to-go containers, because really, no one should have to resort to the unsanitary measure of pocket food in the 21st century.

"Six. A whole half a year," she sighed. "I think this is why they count in weeks, it sounds much faster."

"See, next time you should just use science for it." Oh, because that'd work well for their lives.

"...Use science for it how?"

She was worried, but curious.

"Well, I somehow managed to have an alternate reality kid with Jessica, so I was assuming by that point we'd perfected an artificial womb for it." A beat. "Also I have destroyed a lot of HYDRA tech dedicated to cloning Steve so I do have ideas."

"You know, I'm kind of cool with doing this the old fashioned way?" Kitty said. "And that last part is a little scary."

"Makes it way more satisfying to blow up their bases," he admitted. Oh, their lives. "Have you picked out names yet?"

"We know the name if it's a girl," she said. "That's really all we've talked about."

If it wasn't a girl, there would probably be a little crisis based on years of expecting their yearly kid visit, and then they'd have to go on from there.

Life did tend to mess with people, so who knew?

Tony nodded along with that. "Well, that's good. We'll have to throw you a babyshower."

Yes, give them only the most expensive baby gifts possible.
