Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather had turned out absolutely lovely for today's picnic, through no interference of dark magic (as far as anyone knew). The bonfire had been scrapped for the season, replaced with more blue and gold chairs and tables for people to sit at. The usual buffet was out, and this time there were plates and to-go containers, because really, no one should have to resort to the unsanitary measure of pocket food in the 21st century.

Happy picnic day, everyone!

"I never asked about that either," Norman replied, shrugging. "Partly because it's none of my business, and partly because it's not even the strangest thing I've ever seen."

"I saw a dragon last week while visiting a friend's world," Norman offered. "That was pretty weird."

And awesome. Weird and also awesome.

Not as weird as the big jello-looking ones that he sometimes spotted around here, no. But way cooler.

"All right, that's up there," Sabine decided. "And I'm intrigued."

If she saw a dragon, naturally she'd want to paint a dragon on something.

Unfortunately, this dragon was more of a dragon spirit, but still...

"I could describe it for you," Norman offered. "My friend Uma suggested I draw it, but I'm not... not really an artist. At all."

Tragically. He saw so many things that nobody else could. His art would probably be pretty interesting.

"You could describe it and I can draw it," she offered, slowly.

She wasn't letting herself get attached to anyone or anything, but it sounded like an interesting experiment.

Norman tilted his head at Sabine for a moment, and then, just slightly, he smiled.

"That actually sounds kind of fun," he replied. "I got a good long look at it, so I could probably describe it in pretty okay detail, too."

"Okay, then we'll do that," she said. "Just catch me before Portalocity figures out where I'm actually supposed to be."

She totally wasn't staying, see.
