Library, Wednesday
Wow, the library was quiet today. Just eerily, completely silent. There wasn't even the occasional rustle of paper as somebody turned a page or a book got itself up to some mischief.
Peridot opened her mouth to announce that she didn't trust it. No sound came out at all.
She frowned at that, and then thumped her fists on the returns desk a few times with similar results.
And then, just to be sure, she opened a door and slammed it repeatedly, hoping for a different result.
This was going to just keep escalating. Don't even ask where she found that trumpet.
[OOC: Open! Quiet! But open!]

He couldn't help grinning fondly down (and down and down!) at those wide-eyes. "Though, of course, if you don't think you'd want to, I'd understand."

"Ooo!" Peridot jumped from one foot to the other a few times excitedly. "No no no, I do! When do we leave? What should I bring? Should I bring something to take notes?"
Research! Learning! Yes!

She probably could. Odds were it would be a very confusing invention. But she had time to do it.
"Others?"

There was a faint, somewhat sad pause there, but he brightened back up quickly, with a particular sharpness to his grin and a bit of a playful wink.
"Naturally, though, you are the very first person I wanted to invite."

And she even liked most of them! That was very exciting!
"And naturally I'm the first. I am your sibling, after all!"
Well, so was Norman, but he was a little little sibling, which was less exciting.
