Do you know what's a fun thing to do when it's freezing cold and snowing outside? Paintball.

Well, at least if you're Anakin.

"Welcome to aggressive negotiations," he said with a grin. "This is paintball, a game on this planet where you shoot paint pellets at each other while shouting mocking things."

The shouting part was not optional, as far as Anakin knew.

"Sometimes your negotiations will disintegrate into chaos, and while running away and issueing a blistering press release is an option, shooting people with paint is so much more fun," Anakin concluded. "Suit up, choose your weapon, and attack!"

He coughed.

"I mean. Negotiate. With weapons."

And at Anakin. Because this is totally his favorite hobby. He's already kitted out in a jumpsuit and a paintball gun, hiding behind the totally mod-able trees.

Sidon had never held a gun in his hands before, though he'd certainly seen them used (and had his life saved by one) since coming here. He guessed it was quite a bit different, since this one shot paint instead of bullets, but it was still exciting to be giving such a powerful thing a try.

The tree that got covered in splats of paint as Sidon got the hang of it, however, was probably not as excited.

He wasn't so sure he'd be able to really shoot his friends, but he was eager to try. And he probably made quite the target himself, especially in the pink fluffy coat that had become a necessity for him when going outside these days.

Honestly, you had Bobby at 'freezing cold and snowing outside'. And the fact that these were the kind of 'negotiations' he was much more familiar with than all that talky stuff.

The concept of paintball itself was new, but it didn't take Bobby long to get the hang of it, really.

Aggressive negotiations? That was pretty much what she trained for.

Yang laughed gleefully as she grabbed a paintball gun and stuck it in her belt. And promptly proceeded to activate her Ember Celica and fill the ammo slots with paintball pellets -- three to a chamber -- before pouring extra paintball pods into her ammo pouches. Reloading her gauntlets was going to be difficult since these weren't actual ammunition, but she had the gun for backup and had the advantage in that she was an excellent marksman.

It was entirely possible that there was going to be yellow paint everywhere.

"Incoming!"

It probably went against the whole concept to alert someone when you were shooting at them, Sidon.

Especially when that little red pellet of paint was barely even close to hitting your intended target.

"Errm, nevermind!"

Pity they weren't paint-bow-and-arrows, otherwise he'd be painting the whole town red.

Yang dodged easily, still laughing. "You just threw away your shot!" she teased, bringing up her left arm and firing paintballs in his direction. "Hope you look good in yellow!"

Norman basically looked like a deer in the headlights the second the word 'Paintball' had been uttered.

And now he was outside, holding a paintball gun, and wondering if finding a place in the woods to hide and just never come out again would be an option.

At least there were a few ghosts in the woods that were kind enough to tell him if people were coming. Unfortunately, there were a few bored ones who also happened to tell him to run the wrong way.

Which was why she shouldn't be shocked when a blue paintball whizzed just above her head.

Anakin snickered. He loved this game.

In my headcanon, Anakin has been banned from most paintball places in the tri-state area for making twelve year old boys cry.
