Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

There really was just no getting around the fact that it was cold outside today as Fandom welcomed its newest residents. Food? Check. Nametags and lists for people to look at for their siblings and roommates? Check. Bonfire? Definite check, it was hard to miss in the center of the lawn. Temperature away from the fire? Around 40F/5C.

At least there was a lot of warm food and chairs by the fire?

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Peridot gave a nod that was entirely too enthusiastic, considering she was about to say, "Right! They pretty much crushed half the town!"

But look, it was exciting to be reaching some kind of understanding with her new little sibling, even if it was about falling sharks.

"With the sharks? I think only twice," Peridot mused. "But there were really big slugs a couple of weeks ago, too."

She paused for effect, and then waved down at Pumpkin, who was sitting at Theron's feet, looking up happily at the both of them.

"Pumpkin saved us all!"

Well. Pumpkin was involved in the solution. Same thing, right?

Apparently Pumpkin approved of this great honor, too, because she was giving a happy bark and then wiggling up to try to lick his hand.

Her tongue was made of pumpkin innards. Sorry, Theron.
