Today, the teachers were phoning it in! Well, kind of. They were there, but so was the television and a DVD player. "Today, in an effort to make government systems more fun," Steve began, "we're going to watch it in singing cartoon form."

As you do!

"Edutainment," Tony said, raising his eyebrows like clearly everyone was into it. "Its a Friday. Just enjoy the break."

And maybe hope whatever weirdness happening would skip over the room.

...or not, as the less technically adept of the pair of them went to press play on the DVD and hit the "fire" button lying in wait for him on top of the machine. Glitter, everyone?

Tony sneezed, sending out a little puff of glitter. "What. The hell."

"Language," he corrected immediately before adding an, "I'm sorry. I have no idea what happened." His hair was entirely coated in glitter, as was his shirt. It was a Look.

"A glitter bomb," Tony suggested. "Maybe we should all avoid pushing buttons in the class?"

"Good idea," Steve said with a sour look at the DVD player. "Write notes as you watch the videos and we'll have a discussion if there was anything unclear about the presentations after, okay?"

Tony hesitantly pressed play , breathing a sigh of relief when it played as expected. This time.

"You rich people are very odd sometimes, Tony," Steve said, laughing.

"You won't get any argument from me there," Tony replied. "There's a place that sells a sundae for a thousand dollars. Has gold leaf on it."

Of course Tony had had one.

"At the risk of sounding like a rube, why?" Steve asked.

"To show off?" It was the only reason he could come up with. "I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't a place with glitter sundaes too."

"Kind of surprised they don't have them here, really," Steve said, wiping futiley at the glitter on his nose.

Which Tony had to try and mostly fail to keep from smiling at.

"You look like a disco ball," he said. "Might take a few showers before that stops."

Said the guy whose beard was going to razzle dazzle 'em for weeks.

"I'm sure that DVD players aren't supposed to do that," Steve said, sending a sour look towards the TV.

"Oh, maybe JARVIS has been nice and keeping this modern thing from you," Tony suggested, brushing some of that glitter off Steve's shoulder. "Out of the goodness of his circuits."

Steve snorted. "There's no way," he said. "You wouldn't have been able to resist seeing me covered in glitter in the comfort of your own home."

Tony's laugh was maybe just a little strangled at that mental image. Because it brought to mind things that he wasn't going to think about here, thank you. "And have to clean it up? No thank you."

"Don't you have a Roomba or something?" Steve said. "A Zumba?"

Not a vacuum, Steve, but good try.

"Probably goes with the glitter, then," Steve said, brushing some out of his hair.

Kind of.

Tony laughed, trying to avoid the glitterfall. "No, that's on a pole."

Steve flicked some of the glitter at Tony, just on principle. "I'm not going to dance on a pole."

Honestly made him add on the, "--again."

That had been a weird weekend.

Joke was on him, Tony was already well glittered. "Breaking the hearts of many, Rogers."

Steve blushed. "That was a one-time event, Stark."

"There was a class on using it as exercise," Tony replied because teasing was just how he rolled. "Good core workout, I hear."

"I'll stick to rock climbing and running," Steve said.

And falling off the occasional building.

"And beating up the occasional idiot in a costume?"

And, yes, falling off those buildings.

"And some of that, yeah," Steve said. "Though I've been called in a lot less on those recently."

"Maybe you guys have less than we do," Tony suggested. "Because we have a lot."

"I could really use something to punch," Steve admitted.

"Maybe we can find MODOK again. He was fun to punch." Also a bit like shooting fish in a barrel once you crippled his flight capabilities.
