Today, the teachers were phoning it in! Well, kind of. They were there, but so was the television and a DVD player. "Today, in an effort to make government systems more fun," Steve began, "we're going to watch it in singing cartoon form."

As you do!

"Edutainment," Tony said, raising his eyebrows like clearly everyone was into it. "Its a Friday. Just enjoy the break."

And maybe hope whatever weirdness happening would skip over the room.

...or not, as the less technically adept of the pair of them went to press play on the DVD and hit the "fire" button lying in wait for him on top of the machine. Glitter, everyone?

Tony sneezed, sending out a little puff of glitter. "What. The hell."

"Language," he corrected immediately before adding an, "I'm sorry. I have no idea what happened." His hair was entirely coated in glitter, as was his shirt. It was a Look.

"A glitter bomb," Tony suggested. "Maybe we should all avoid pushing buttons in the class?"

"Good idea," Steve said with a sour look at the DVD player. "Write notes as you watch the videos and we'll have a discussion if there was anything unclear about the presentations after, okay?"

Tony hesitantly pressed play , breathing a sigh of relief when it played as expected. This time.

"Maybe you guys have less than we do," Tony suggested. "Because we have a lot."

"I could really use something to punch," Steve admitted.

"Maybe we can find MODOK again. He was fun to punch." Also a bit like shooting fish in a barrel once you crippled his flight capabilities.

Tony snickered, shaking his head to cause a little glitter cloud. "God, I'm glad no one is here to take pictures of this."

"We're a sight, huh," Steve said with a lopsided grin. "Very professional."

"Serious professionals. That's what comes to mind with us," Tony replied dryly. "I could probably make it a fashion trend if I tried hard enough."

And got Jan on board.

"If anyone could, it's you," Steve agreed. "You can pull off just about anything."

It was something Steve envied.

"You just have to look confident enough and people will believe almost anything," Tony replied. "You could do it too."

Because. You know. Dat ass and dat bone structure.

"I couldn't," Steve said. "I always look like I'm uncomfortable."

Because he was generally uncomfortable.

Tony reached over to hook an arm over Steve's shoulders in a friendly fashion. "If it helps, I usually feel the same."

"You're a much better actor than I am," Steve said, grinning over at him.

Steve ruffled Tony's hair, uncaring to the rain of glitter that came out of it. "Not on me though, okay?"

"Not on you," he agreed, a little quieter.

Steve gave him a little grin that wasn't entirely class appropriate before turning back to the cartoons. "So what are these movies about anyway?"

"Civics," Tony teased, watching the delightfully old fashioned animation played. "Sometimes grammar. Or history. Songs to help kids remember things that are probably too boring normally. Maybe next time we'll do Sesame Street or Mr. Roger's Neighborhood."

"I watched that guy painting the happy clouds," Steve said enthusiastically. "He's soothing."

"Oh, I better get a painting of happy clouds and friendly little trees for Christmas this year." Because he would hang it up proudly. Possibly right next to something expensive.

Steve's cheeks turned pink. "It's a possibility."

There were four drying in his room. Shh.
