The sets are up, the house lights are dimmed, and the play is ready to begin.



[Actual production will be SP'd here. There will be an audience post tomorrow night, so the audience can react to what's going on onstage then. Have fun, go nuts, guys. Chat room is: MSND, but I have school and won't be on until tonight or so. Outline. Please use the scripts you were emailed. Important: DO NOT SKIP AHEAD IN THE PRODUCTION. THERE ARE EVENTS PLANNED OKAY I LIED. Please just post Acts I-III for right now, as there is something planned to happen at the end of Act III. Please just check in on this post to check for a cue.]

Sam took her seat by the lighting board before the show and ran a dimmer check, checking to make sure that all the lights were coming on when they were supposed to, and were lighting the areas of the stage that were necessary.

There was a lot of wattage, though, plus the fog machine. "I wonder if I got carried away?"

She looked down at her clipboard, did some quick calculations, and decided everything would be fine.

Nadia was bored, so she decided to entertain herself by being a great explorer! Her great explorations through the jungle-y lands had lead her to a fascinating little hut thing at the back of the theater!

Miss Majesty, aka Titania, aka Parker, had told her she had to be good and say her lines onstage. But she had a whole TWO SCENES before she had to be onstage again. That was like, TWO WHOLE YEARS!

"Oooooooooooooooooooooo!" she said, when she saw all the buttons and levers and things in the tech booth. "Can I play?"

Mac just happened to come by to see how Sam was doing and make sure that all things technical was going okay.

"Nadia? No. This is not a place to play."

See, the thing about three year olds, is they're very, very good at pouting. Some of the effect may have been lost due to the fact that this one was wearing the face of a sixteen year old, and a gothic one at that, but that still equaled a big level of pout power.

"But I'm booooooooooo-oooooooored!"

Nadia face palmed with all her might. The end result was her actually managing to wrench some control from the fairy possessing her, and ACTUALLY smack herself in the face.

So she started crying.

Oh, god, would this ever end?

Mac looked at Nadia with a concerned look. He'd seen kids like this before and knew exactly how to handle it.

"Nadia? Are you high?"

The fairy apparently thought this was funny, so she said it outloud. Then started giggling uncontrollably.

"Ooookay," Mac said a little confused. "Maybe you would like something to eat? I bet they have food down at the Green Room."

"I'm sure it will look great," she nods and pulls a script out from under her arm taking a seat next to Sam to run over the cues. "I just really hope I don't screw up, that would be embarassing."

"You'll be fine," Sam responded, raising a level on one of the dimmers. If she only had a little more power...

Mac looks a little less certain, "yeah, sure."

"So, how long do we have 'til curtain up?"

Sam checked her watch. "About half an hour or so."

She nodded, "well that's quite comforting," pulling out a packet of something unidentifiable and vegan she offers it to Sam. "Hungry? I eat when I'm nervous, gives me something to do."

"Hey Sam!" Bridge says, as he bounces into the tech booth. "So, point me somewhere."

"My hero!" Sam said, from underneath the light board. One of the connections had fried. "I need something to put these two wires back in contact, or there'll be a lot of darkness on stage."

Unfortunately, there was a lot of darkness under the light board at the moment, and she grabbed the wrong wire. She didn't notice.

Bridge thinks for a few moments, then digs through his pockets. "Electrical tape work?" he asks, handing a roll of black tape to Sam.

Sam stretched up, bumping her head on the bottom of the board. "Ow." She rubbed it as she stuck her hand out for the tape. "Thanks."

"No problem," Bridge says. "And you okay?"

"Just bumped my head. Nothing serious," she said, ducking back under and swearing as the spark when she touched the two wires burned her fingers. "Ow! Stupid wiring."

"If you want to check out the sound stuff, I haven't really pulled that together yet," Sam said, still under the board, but waving her feet in the general direction of the sound equipment.

"OhmyGodwhatthefrell?" Rory asked as she burst into the booth and promptly tripped because she couldn't see. "Is something ON FIRE?"

"HOW?" Rory asked, pulling off her sweatshirt and using it to beat at the flames.

"I think... one of the wires blew maybe?" Bridge says with a shrug. "I dunno, I was bringing up the sound cue, and Sam was doing the lights, and then FWOOSH!"

Sam came running back in, carrying a fire extinguisher. "Out of the way!" She pulled the pin, aimed, and fired at the base of the board. Between the foam and the smoke from the fire, it was pretty cloudy in the booth.

Coughing, Sam slid under the board to take a look. "Anyone got a pair of gloves or tweezers I could borrow?"
