MSND [slowplay]

The sets are up, the house lights are dimmed, and the play is ready to begin.



[Actual production will be SP'd here. There will be an audience post tomorrow night, so the audience can react to what's going on onstage then. Have fun, go nuts, guys. Chat room is: MSND, but I have school and won't be on until tonight or so. Outline. Please use the scripts you were emailed. Important: DO NOT SKIP AHEAD IN THE PRODUCTION. THERE ARE EVENTS PLANNED OKAY I LIED. Please just post Acts I-III for right now, as there is something planned to happen at the end of Act III. Please just check in on this post to check for a cue.]

Sam almost took another swing at Callisto, but thought better of it. The other girl could probably kill her.

"Mortal?" She asked Zero, incredulously, "Wait, you're a pink kitten, a rock star, and now you're immortal? Man, did I stand in the wrong line at this school," she muttered.

She couldn't even look at Lee, unable to believe he'd literally forgotten who she was.

"I'll distract him," Puck told Elain. "You get the kilt." Then he turned to Sam, "Harridan, I know not of what you--oh, will you knock it off??"

He sighed and started patting Oberon's arm again. "Does this help? Will you be quiet now?"

"As you say, Puck," Elain slid her hand along Oberon's waist, feeling for the kilt fastenings.

Rory reached over and gently pulled on Sam's arm. "I am sorry, Majesty," she murmured to Lee, head bent. "She knows not who you are. Please forgive us." She gave a slight bow, nodding once each at Zero and Callisto as well.

She turned to Sam. "That's not Lee. I know it looks like him, but it's Oberon in Lee's body," she said in a quick whisper. "Cal's not Cal, either, and Zero is Puck. They're in there, though. But I'm playing along. Seems smart."

Puck ignored all of this and told Oberon, "My steed seems calmed when I pet your arms, my Lord. She stops trying to do me a violence, at least. You must admit, they are very nice arms." With his free hand, behind Oberon's back, he waved for Elain to go for the kilt.

The girl was putting up an astonishing lack of resistance...

"Forgive the impertinance my Lord," Elain said as her fingers found the fastenings they sought and started undoing them. "But it's not my heart you need to worry about."

He stared at her in amusement. "You need any help there?" he said at last, gesturing to her not-so-secretive attempt to remove his kilt.

Rory's eyes went wide.

"Oh, my," she said in spite of herself, flushing scarlet.

She flicked her gaze away nearly as soon as the kilt fell, however, because Lee or not, she was a nice girl. Damn it.

Still averting her eyes, Rory turned to Bridge. "Want to help me get flashlights before they have their orgy?" asked the very red girl who sort of still resembled Rory.

Ignoring both the mortals yapping in the booth, and her steed's mental silence, Elain stroked Oberon's neck and whispered. "Obviously the next step is to show proper appreciation for the magnificence of one such as yourself, my Lord."

Rory turned back to Lee, ignoring Callisto as best she could.

"Lord, if it doth please, may we mortals take our leave, so that the production may go hence unshrouded?" she said quietly, bowing slightly.

And then really, really NOT BOWING. Because bowing meant she was looking down. Redfaced, Rory looked straight into the proud face that belonged to her friend Lee but tonight lived up to its natural kingliness.
