They were standing in a classroom. A regular, nice, simple classroom that wasn't going to turn into something weird on Atton unexpectedly. "Welcome to How To Shoot Straight. We learn how to shoot things here. That's it. No weird philosophical angle or anything."

He waved at the table in front of him, which supported an impressive arsenal of... nerf guns.

"Today, I want to know how much you people know about aiming," he said. "Give me your name and a drawing of someone you'd like to shoot in the face. Then shoot them in the face. There, that's your assignment, go."

FN-2187's target was pretty unrecognizably vague. Look, he didn't have much in the way of artistic skills and he didn't really want to shoot anyone in the face unless they really deserved it. He figured if someone asked he'd say it was a smuggler or something, that seemed like a sound answer that wouldn't get him in trouble.

Except that other girl had apparently drawn the emperor and now he was afraid they were all going to be reported and murdered.

He squinted at the target. Couldn't make much of it. Oh well. "Go shoot your... whatever that is."
