Library, Friday

Yesterday had been disturbing. That was all Lucille was going to say on the matter, and she was going to support any research done into what was happening.

The library was open, and even though drinks were generally forbidden here, tea was being offered.

Ada leaned in to give him a sweet, lingering kiss. "Let's leave th' rest of it to th' scholars," she murmured. "And find somewhere else t' be."

"And I do believe that this is the true reason the dromonde led me to the library today," Hyacinthe said, a little breathless after that kiss. Standing up, he offered his hand. "I'll follow where you lead, rinkeni."

Ada took his hand and stood up, coming in close to claim another kiss. "M' dorm room don't got a door no more," she sighed against his lips. "Yours?"

"My bed is a nest of blankets on the floor and two of the walls are sagging," he said, happily giving it to her. "But the door closes."

It didn't lock, but it closed.

They could probably find something to shove against the door if they really wanted it locked. After getting chased on the roof earlier, Ada would probably insist.

"Probably our best option," she said, turning her face to nuzzle at his neck. "Don't sound like th' little town they got going in th' park got many quiet spaces."

She'd scavenge up a little nook there later, but for now, the dorms were closer.

And he wasn't about to suggest finding a room in the school, not with that entity that had left him cold and shaking by just going near the tower.

"Come, rinkeni," he said softly. "Come be my bulwark against the storms and I'll be the same for you."

"No bein' alone tonight," she promised, entwining her fingers with his, and then stepping back to tug him along to the door with her.

She stopped only long enough to pick up her two bags of supplies. If people hadn't eaten yet, well, that was on them. Ada wasn't going to leave food behind when they were going to need it later.
