Wednesday 3/15, Library is Open

Zero opened up the library, as usual, and settled in behind the desk to be available for all the student body's libraryish needs. Which frequently seemed to consist of gossiping and bringing the aides pastry, but hey, she wasn't complaining.

Marty sulked like a little kid and pointed at Parker. "She made me do it."

"Did not!" Parker hissed, keeping her voice down.

"Quintuple NOT!" Parker cut a look at Zero to make sure she wasn't about to bring out the mallet.

"Did times infinity!" Marty hissed under his breath.

He too was wary of the mallet.

Zero rolled her eyes at them and went back to her song. At least they were being quiet now.

Something popped into Marty's head. "DID to the-"

And what followed was a series of calculations and formulas that flew out of his mouth like he had no control over it.

It was like he was accessing a memory of someone who inhabited his body who had a doctorate in physics.

But that would be silly. And now Marty just stands there confused.

Parker is equally non-plussed for a full fifteen seconds. She stares at Marty, who is staring at nothing. "What? You made that up," she said, in her normal voice.

"'Kay." Parker's still a little stumped. "I don't know if that means you win or not. Do you?"

Marty does a little victory dance.

Parker rolls her eyes. "Not." Then she tosses her hair, and adds, "Mr. Garcia. Get on the bus and catch a wave out of here, why don't you?"
