Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Back at home in Maryland, the weather was awful and raining and gross, just like it had been all week. Thankfully, Fandom's current locale was providing the island with much nicer weather to welcome the new students. It was warm, and sunny, and just about everything the administration could ask for on picnic day.

The tables and chairs had been dragged out and set up around the lawn, and there was the usual buffet table of delectable foods, along with the table of nametags and lists to help folks find their siblings and roommates. With everything set up, it was time to welcome the new folks!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Hannibal shook his hand. "Deadpool, then," he corrected himself. "I'm Dr. Hannibal Lecter; the school has assigned me to see how you're settling in and answer any questions you may have. And no, not Captain America. Jono Starsmore. Chamber," he added, since the man seemed to prefer code names. "He says you're from a world similar to his?"

"Oh, Flameface!" It was a guess because he'd been the only Fox based property he'd seen so far. "Yep, his girl group keeps trying to recruit me into saving the world or whatever bullshit that lil' Scientology compound is going on about these days. Something about Thetan levels, I'm sure."

So far, Hannibal was fairly delighted with Wade. He highly approved of people being themselves, and there was little doubt Wade excelled at that.

He chuckled. "I'm a psychiatrist. I believe I'm required to say that anything can be sexual if seen in the right - or the wrong - light. Why did you shoot him?"

Mary had seen many people come and go during her time on the island, but it was always nice to see them returning instead of leaving.

"Ooh, you're back," said Mary with a grin. "It's nice to see a familiar face again. I was starting to feel like everyone I knew had moved on."
