Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2016, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]
Right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, the ceremony for graduation was ready to go. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, which reflected nicely off of the glitter scattered throughout the lawn.
Look, this was one of the last chances to get the students covered in glitter. They might miss Fandom too much without this annoyingly sparkly reminder!
There were chairs set up for all of the graduates, and plenty of seats for guests to come and watch. Hopefully, Fandom's current floaty conditions wouldn't weird anyone out, and as for anything else that might happen during the ceremony... well, the administration was hoping that Fandom had had enough weirdness for a little while, and things would go off without a hitch.
Congratulations, Class of 2016! Today is your day!

He paused, sighed, and then added, "And if some of the Fandom weirdness follows you home, we are not legally liable for any trauma either physical or emotional, as stated in the application language. Our lawyers wanted to remind you of that." He glanced at the students. "I'm glad you came. I wish all of you had made it to graduation, and we honor those who did not."

Student Council President's Speech - Alana
Re: Student Council President's Speech - Alana
"So we did it," she said, before anything else. "After four years or so of invasions, aliens, animal transformations, and random singing, we're finally on our way out the door. High school graduation's always an accomplishment, but I think Fandom's Class of 2016 can be a little bit extra-proud of ourselves for this one. We are the tenth class to graduate from this school, by the way, so I think we can feel a little extra-awesome.
"They say the point of high school is education, and this place definitely educated us. Maybe it didn't always -- or even usually -- do it in the classroom, but it educated us all the same. We learned about respecting each other despite our differences. About working together toward a common goal. About getting off the island and traveling all around the world together -- and sometimes even getting off the planet. My time in Fandom was a gift. I hope yours was for you. And whatever we do next, I hope we all carry a little bit of this place in our heats to wherever the universe takes us.
"I'd like to thank our friends and families who supported us; our teachers who did their best for us; and the writers, musicians and artists who taught us how to dream big dreams. And I want to dedicate this speech to Kathy Li and Raven Darkholme, who should be here but aren't.
"Thanks. Go Gremlins."
And with that, she flushed, adjusted her cap again, and went back to her seat.
