Face was sitting very, very still behind the collections desk, keeping the candles on his head as far away from the very, very flammable books as he could.

"I will tell no one," Cassandra said dryly. "It would be a sad day if any realized you were not always completely ridiculous."

"Which is why I'm forever grateful my secret is safe with you," Face replied, hand over his heart.

Cassandra shook her head at him.

Then, wordless, she reached to pry the hand from his heart, tugging him towards the exit.

The prying required remarkably little effort, Face curling his fingers through hers as he obediently followed her.

"There," Cassandra said, smiling again. "That should greatly decrease the, ah, fire hazard."

"I'd be awkward if the library got burnt down by one of the aides," Face agreed.

"I doubt the librarian would appreciate it," Cassandra agreed, tugging him towards the exit. "Hopefully these candles will be dispelled sooner rather than later."
