Clint was trying not to look nervous as his students came into class, but really, this had been such a better idea when he was just talking to Kitty about it.

"Hey everyone. For those of you who don't know me already, my name is Clint Barton, and this is Sex Ed," he said. "Hopefully you're all here voluntarily and no one accidentally got signed up, but if that's the case, you're welcome to stay anyway."

Clint laughed softly. "You don't have to get too formal with me. Like my predecessor in teaching this class, I haven't gone to school and studied this stuff. I just... well, have a lot of experience. Good experience and bad experience and weird experience, and I'm still here, so I must be doing something right. Now, don't let my lack of formal schooling stop you from asking questions. If there's anything you're dying to know, I'm sure I can find an answer. If you don't want to ask in class, I stole something from the last teacher," he said, holding up a box and giving it a little shake. "Any questions that go into the box will be anonymous, to your classmates at least. You don't have to sign your questions if you don't want me to know who's asking either."

"For now," he continued, "it's the first week, so we have to do the introduction thing. I want your name, your grade, and something you're hoping to get out of this class. Let's start... here."

Did Clint have to talk quite so loudly? Isabela was sill nursing a glitter hangover from all the rum she hadn't drunk last night.

Awww, the box was back. Now Gwen was sad about Johnny again.

Name, grade, something you're hoping to get out of the class!

"Isabela, they said something about juniors, I'm sure there's some gaps in my knowledge you can fill."

Not her best line but glitter hangover.

It wasn't often that Clint was speechless, but that wasn't something he'd expected when he signed up to teach this class. "Uh, I'm sure there are. With the class." No, Clint, that made it sound worse. "Wanting to learn is a good first step."

That was because Clint was a decent person.

"Oh, I'm a very eager student," Isabela replied. Mostly because she could smell his fear. Also arms.

"I'm Nathan, I'm a senior and I have no idea what I'm hoping to get from this class," he said, not really sure how he'd even gotten here. Bloody hell. "I'll just listen and not talk for the rest of the term."

"Aww, you don't have to talk if you don't want to, but I'm sure you'll have something to contribute at some point," Clint said. "I'm not out to have anyone feel embarrassed, I promise."

"I am Thorin, son of Thrain," he said, even more disgruntled here than he'd been in the drama class. "I gather that I am considered a junior. My purpose here is a mystery as I did not register for such a class."

He was going to end up traumatized, let's be real.

Mmmmm, so much trauma. Sorry Thorin!

"Ah, that happens sometimes," Clint said with a shrug. "I hope you'll get something out of the class that you'll use eventually." He was a handsome guy and it would be sad if he died a virgin.

THIS WAS SO MUCH WORSE THAN A DRAGON.

Thorin just gave him a deeply suspicious look for that. And excuse you, he would die however he pleased. Probably giving a dramatic speech.

"Eric Bittle, sophomore, and honestly I'm just- information, I guess, about the whole..." vague handwave.

"The whole thing? Yeah, I got it," Clint said with a smile. "I'm gonna try to cover as much as I can for you guys." And maybe they'd be able to say things out loud by the end!

Well, the girls in the class seemed to be doing pretty well in that regard. Eric, on the other hand... "I come from the land of abstinence-only education," not to stereotype, but the Southern drawl probably gave that away a little, "so there's probably a lot to, uh. Cover."

April was having a serious issue with how attractive both her teachers this semester were.

"I'm April, I'm a freshman and I thought it would be good to know more about my reproductive organs!"

Wow, that was more enthusiasm than Clint had expected on the first day. "Uh, okay! That's really helpful to know, thank you. And welcome to the school and all that."

"Thanks!" April chirped. "I'm excited to be here!"

And in this class! Especially!

"I'm Gwen and I'm a senior," Gwen said. "I was in Ms. Adler's class last year so I guess I'm hoping to get some entertainment out of this."

Clint laughed at that. "I appreciate your honesty, and I hope I can be at least close to as entertaining as she was."

"Ada Miller, junior, and same reason as Gwen, really," she said cheerfully. "An all my sex ed that wasn't Miss Adler comes from my female cousins and boils down to how much men suck and will let you down."

"I wish I could defend my gender, but there are a lot of men out there that suck," Clint admitted. "There are, however, ones that are still fresh and ready to be trained to be decent human beings, if you have the patience."

Before or after class!
