BWI Airport, Portalocity Lounge
It was That Time Of Year again. At BWI airport, they knew well that this was not the kind of thing you wanted to be asking questions about. So when a teenage boy showed up wearing a ratty long red-and-black coat, an expression that blazed hell and a large series of bleeding scratches on his face, well, they didn't ask. About anything.
Dante didn't mind. It meant he could walk into the nice warm Portalocity lounge and crash on one of the benches. Had to sleep off the day he'd had... yesterday? Was it yesterday now? Who cared.
By the time he jerked back awake about an hour later, the scratches had vanished and his expression had gone sleepy, though the ratty coat remained. He sat up, rubbing at his eyes. Guess he wasn't alone anymore, huh? Fine, whatever. "Who knew the public still showed up for transport?"

Wait for the Shuttle
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Island. She, girl from the arid desert was about to start school on an island. This was almost too bizarre for words.
She entered the lounge right as a boy around high school age -- she was bad at ages -- seemed to wake up from a nap and ask about the public transportation.
"I'm guessing it's because it's the only way to get to this school we're going to?"
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
There was an airport, and he figured this was the bus section or something. (Okay, so maybe he hadn't figured a whole lot of a lot besides the fact that he needed to sleep off busting out of that last place.)
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Because Maria was helpful.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
What school? He sure as hell wasn't going to ask - itch on his abdomen said he could use at least another half-hour of sleep, so he didn't exactly want to give someone a reason to kick him out. "Yeah, you're totally right."
He was not a fantastic liar.

He adjusted his hat before settling into one of the chairs to get in a bit of people watching before everything inevitably went to shit.
Though he did spare a nod at the other guy there.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Dante would return your nod with a vaguely slasher-esque smile and a raise of his eyebrows. As one did, when complete strangers nodded at you.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Eggsy rolled his eyes in response, slumping back in his seat with his legs spread in typical dudebro fashion. But he at least looked amused rather than tired.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
He looked like he was either bored, or trying to start shit. And Dante really didn't want to get kicked out of this lounge.

Sorry, everyone. Xanthippe was going to stand over here in her oversized (and expensive) plaid flannel shirt and occasionally look up from her phone in a surly fashion.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
So he got up out of his seat, made an idle lap of the lounge (ignoring that itching in his abdomen)... and totally didn't on purpose bump into her phone.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
On the floor.
"Hey!" Xanthippe snapped, looking up, incredulous. And very annoyed. "Watch where you're going!"

Which would be why Eggsy was offering the rich one a quick smile. Posh girls loved a bit of rough. Proven fact.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Who was now raising her eyebrows slightly at him. Please note the lack of a smile.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Eggsy raised his eyebrows right on back at her. Because it was a thing.

"Huh. I would not have guessed that the school would be in an airport," Frank declared. And then he took a drink. If you're playing the drinking game at home, take a drink and then reconsider your choices before you need to be hospitalized.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
Yes, get the shuttle drunk, Frank. It'll make it the best shuttle ever.

Unspoken rules about personal space in an airport lounge aside, she plunked down next to the first person she saw and swiftly began arranging her luggage under the chairs. "Hi, I'm April!" she said brightly, extending her free hand as soon as she had one to spare. "Is this where we meet for the school bus?"

If so, she was impressed.

Yes, she was just going to try to make conversation with the sleepy-looking guy until he explicitly told her not to. And possibly still after that.
