Relax and Recharge, Monday Period Three

Given the pleasant weather, Bond had his class meet him out on the grounds.

"Welcome," he said, once something resembling the right number of students had appeared. "This is Relax and Recharge, and like the name implies, this is going to be a fairly low-key class, covering various ways to de-stress. For example, lazing about on the grass in the sun and talking with each other." Spoiler, that was today's activity.

"Now, as is traditional, part of our first class is going to be given over to introductions. Name, age, and one of your favourite ways to relax. Then, once that's out of the way, I'd like you to find a partner, preferably someone you haven't talked to before today, and find something to talk about."

Sitting in the sun and talking, truly a taxing feat.

Daphne leaned back on her hands and looked around for a partner to chat with.

"Hey, Daphne. You're someone I only kind of know," Johnny said as he took a seat. "That should work for partnering up."

[Standard work slowness warning.]

Daphne grinned. "Hey, Johnny. How are you?"

[Me, too!]

"Not bad. I was a little bored for a week there without any classes about goofing off, but things have improved," Johnny said.

"I'm kind of fond of a class about relaxing." She said with another smile.

"What else are you taking this session?" Johnny checked.

"Philosophy of some kind. What about you?"

"Drivers Ed and Adler's Sexual Safety class," Johnny said. "Hopefully at least one of those teaches me something useful."

Daphne couldn't help the grin that came across her face. "Just hopefully not at the same time."

"Well, it is Sexual Safety," Johnny said. "So there's clear overlap. 'Don't be a distracted driver.'"

Daphne laughed. She always liked talking to Johnny. "That's a good point."

Edward flopped on the grass and shut his eyes.

... He'd take in the sun first, then deal with talking.

Nathan's darker thoughts from the past weekend were gone for the moment so he was able to sit in the sun and relax a bit.

Cecil grinned at Nathan. "Can we talk about how Edward's snoring?" he teased.

"Is he?" Nathan glanced over at Edward, raising an eyebrow. "I'd somehow blocked that out but he does appear to be snoring. Must be tired."

"Well, I guess he's in the perfect class for it," Cecil allowed. He smiled at Nathan and stuck out his hand. "Hi! You're Anders' boyfriend, right?"

"Am I?" He'd never heard himself called that before. It made him snicker. "I guess I am, yes. I'm Nathan."

"I'm Cecil. You've been here about a year, right? I do radio, so I sort of pick up on things. How do you like it so far?"

"It's been awhile for me too but...I like it," he answered, nodding. "It's really, really different from my home and I wasn't exactly expecting to be here but it's been good. Comfortable."

Safe.

"It's a nice place," Cecil agreed. "Where is home?"

"England," he said after a moment's pause. "Wales. I don't really have a permanent place but that's the country I come from. So, long way from home."

"Oh! That's a real place?" Cecil asked. "I thought that was only in Jono's world. Unless you're from his world?"

"It's...real," he said slowly. "You've never heard of it before? I'd been led to believe it was pretty common in most places."

[Derp.]

"Maybe?" Cecil looked dubious, but shrugged. "I've never been all that good at geography."

[LOL! np. Been there so many times!]
