Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could soak up that precious vitamin D, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool.

All of the tables had at least a little glitter on them though. It was a welcoming gesture to get glitter someplace you didn't know glitter could go!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Eric had stashed the rest of the tarts he'd brought with him on one of the dessert tables, which meant he was now free to wander around wide-eyed. Crowds and banquets were hardly new, he'd done this a million times at skating competitions, but the fact that he had, essentially, just moved away from home kind of gave the experience a whole different tone.

A slender girl with glasses, pigtails, and a backpack spotted him and smiled. "I hope you don't think this is rude, but you look about as lost as I feel," she offered.

"I've never lived away from home before," Eric admitted. "I'm still trying to absorb that that's what's happening."

"I haven't either," Ringo admitted. Then she smiled, "But isn't it exciting? Like... everything is new!"

"And this whole island is adorable," Eric gushed. "I can't wait to go explore the town."

Ringo's eyes went wide with excitement. "Me either." She'd only gotten a brief glimpse earlier, but she was willing to bet that there were some amazing spots for AT riding.

"... Do you think there are kitchens in the dorms?" Eric wondered. Because, yes, proper baking space was his priority right after the adorableness of the town. "They can't just expect us to survive on cafeteria food, right?"

"Huh. That's a good question, actually." Baking wasn't really high on her priority list, but somewhere to make the occasional meal was important.

She blinked. "Actually, I don't think I really thought about the details of how I'm going to eat here before I decided to come..."
