Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could soak up that precious vitamin D, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool.

All of the tables had at least a little glitter on them though. It was a welcoming gesture to get glitter someplace you didn't know glitter could go!

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Clint behaved himself and only grabbed one plate of food. He didn't have much of a reason to be here since he wasn't teaching, but it beat sitting around the house and doing nothing. Plus, if there was anyone new that he knew, or who randomly recognized him, it'd be totally worth it.

"Anyone interesting so far?" And there was the peanut gallery!

"Oh, I'm sure some of these teenagers are plenty interesting. I can't tell yet though," he said. "Are you going to be breaking any impressionable minds this summer?"

"Pepper would kill me if I had anymore lawsuits." True story. "So, no. I'm currently integrating JARVIS into the one left behind by one of the past me's."

Combining two complex AI's to create an even more complex AI! That was a good plan. "If you don't hear from me, JARVIS finally offed me."

"Isn't there some sort of robot rule that says he can't kill you? He could become more efficient than you, that wouldn't be too hard," Clint said.

"That's Asimov," Tony replied. "But those rules were flawed. I just have to treat my AI right with debugging and plenty of storage space for him to relax in."

"He's always seemed happy from what I've seen," Clint said. "And way more polite than I thought you were capable of programming. Maybe Pepper's a really good influence on you."

"I programed him when I was in college and thought the accent was cool."

Ah, drunk coding.

Clint snorted at Tony. "You know, I really am glad you're on our side," he said.

"I'd be an amazing villain, it's true."

"Ooh, and then I'd get to shoot you. On second thought, you can go evil whenever you want,"
Clint said.

"Ouch," Tony replied, tapping the right spot on his chest for a dull thunk. "That hurts me right here, Barton."

"Aww, I'm sorry," Clint said, mostly meaning it. "Are you gonna build anything exciting in your newish space?"

"Meaning anything that goes boom for you to use?"

"Not if you've got other things on your list. But if you ever feel like crafting some boomy arrowheads..." Clint laughed. "You never know what's going to attack this place next, and I feel like it's a 'when' and not an 'if.'"

"Spot anyone familiar yet?" Kitty asked.

"Just Tony, but I'm used to seeing him," Clint said ~~now that he got to this thread oops~~. "No random students running up to me, so that's always a good sign. What about you? It's kind of sad that this is what picnic day is primarily about for us."

~~Omg hdu.~~ "No one yet so I think I'm optimistic in being safe," she said. "This is what happens when you live on a multidimensional hub and your universe is already sorta screwed up." NBD.

"Yeah, you have to admit, there are quite a few people who might be better off being here than back in your universe," Clint said with a sigh. "Not Logan, for the record, he can stay right where he is."

"Aww, but you two could be buddies," Kitty smiled.
