School Auditorium: MSND rehearsal (4-7 PM FHT)

There are snacks and assorted beverages on a table to the side, and the house lights are up.

The stage lighting is still a little beyond Rory, so the simple overhead fluorescents will have to do for the day.

And by the door, there's a sign-in sheet.

Actors? Your stage awaits.

If Nadia is uncomfortable about acting across from Blair ~~which she totally is~~, she manages not to show it. Though had she known she could distract him with girl-fight talk, she certainly would have continued it.

What? Distracting people is fun!

Blair grins at Nadia, and also doesn't show the fact that he's uncomfortable acting as her romantic interest. "So are you ready for this?"

Nadia smiles back. "As I'll ever be."

"I'm really nervous. I'm freaked out that I'm going forget all my lines or fall over my own feet or get my hair tangled up in something." He pulled on his newly extra springy curls and watched as it bounced towards the ceiling.

Nadia also watched it bounce. "Wow." She made a mental note not to get too close to Blair during the rehearsal, lest she get tangled up in it.

That would suck.

"I'm sure you'll be fine."

Blair shrugged. "It just started last night, it's very weird. I went to the clinic in town and apparently it might be related to other medical issues."

"Thanks, I'm sure you'll do fine too. And Rory said the only kissing is fake stage kissing, so that's a relief because I like kissing you too much..." Blair's face turned bright red and he stuttered. "I-I-I-I like missing things too much. Missing!"

Shut up, Blair, shut up, shut up shutupshutup!

"Oh." Nadia's smile grew the tiniest bit strained. "Good."

She thought of something. "Your hair thing might be the same as Pip's glitter thing and Walter's spaghetti thing. You should talk to Bridge."

"Have they taken their stool sample to the doctor yet?"

Stool sample?!

He wanted them to give bits of seats?

"I don't think so,"

"That's not what Bridge is looking for, is it? Because he's my friend and all but I don't think we're that close."

"Bridge is just reading people's auras."

What was so personal about a stool? Was it just because you sat on it?

Americans were werid.

"Oh" Blair sighed and grinned. "That's...like way better, man. Maybe I will go see him!"

"You aren't experiencing anything weird, are you?"

There was no way in hell Nadia was telling Blair she could fart helium.

"No. No, I'm not."

"That's good. I'd be sad if you had something weird or scary happening to you." He tugged on another curl and stretched it down to his waist and absently tied it into a knot.

Nadia stared in stunned fascination at the hair antics.

*fffrrrt*

Oh god, no. She smiled silently, hoping Blair wouldn't notice.

Blair noticed but decided to be a gentleman and focus on other things. ^{"So do you think we'll have to wear tights?"} He stopped and gulped. ^{"Uh, what? Is that my voice?"}

Nadia shrugged.

And looked about for an escape route.

She really hoped Bridge figured out what was causing all this soon.

^"Huh." Blair shrugged and started singing. ^{"I'm a little teapot, short and stout, here is my handle, here is my..."} With a cough, he went back to his regular voice. "Spout!"

"Aww, man. I didn't even get to the pouring out part!"

"^{I'm sure}" Nadia cleared her throat. "I'm sure you'll get another chance."

There has to be another change of subject around here, somewhere. . . .

"Have you ever acted before?"

"Was that...um...you?" Blair blushed and looked up at the ceiling of the stage.

"Not really, nope."

"Was what me?" asked Nadia innocently. "I'm sure you'll do fine."

"That whole..." Blair wondered if maybe the hair thing was hurting his brain. "Um, never mind."

Nadia grinned and repeated her current favorite line of the play: "'I am amazed and know not what to say!' I think Hermia really wishes she could have all three, Lysander, Demetrius, and Helena."

There was really only one response to this. "Dirty."
