School Auditorium: MSND rehearsal (4-7 PM FHT)

There are snacks and assorted beverages on a table to the side, and the house lights are up.

The stage lighting is still a little beyond Rory, so the simple overhead fluorescents will have to do for the day.

And by the door, there's a sign-in sheet.

Actors? Your stage awaits.

Aaaaaaaany minute now the guilt would fade.

Didn't she lecture him for not being honest?

Aw, crap.

She went over and sat next to him.

"Yeah," she said. "It was me."

"The squeaky voice thing?" Blair looked up hopefully.

. . .

"Yes."

Blair thought for a minute. "Did it have anything to do with..." He waved his hands and bounced which in freshman sign language meant 'thing which we can't say outloud because it will lead to embarrasement and giggles'.

Nadia blushed furiously. "It's quite possibly the dumbest 'power' ever."

Blair nodded. "I have to admit that it seems...odd. But you're speaking to a guy who has bungy cord hair. I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of that power is either."

Nadia's hand twitched to spring one of Blair's curls, but she stopped it at the last moment. "I don't know, I think there's some uses there,"

Blair grinned and scooted closer to Nadia. "Go ahead, it doesn't hurt or anything."

Nadia couldn't help it. The sproingy hair was almost hypnotising. She pulled one out as far as it was go . . . which was really VERY far . . . and let go. It bounced across in front of Blair, then back to her, then in front of Blair several times before finally settling down.

"Wow. Does it still do that if you cut it?"

[ooc: ZOMG! Hairmodder! I'm telling!]

"I tried cutting it, the scissors just stretch it out and can't cut through." Blair shuddered briefly. "The guy at the clinic suggested lighting it on fire."

Nadia frowned. "Well, I've got that blow torch if you wanted to try it. I don't know if I would recommend that, though."

Blair clamped his hands over his head. "No way, man. My head is happy being fire-free!"

"Good plan." Nadia yawned, then clapped a hand over her mouth and blinked. "How long do you think rehearsal will take?"

Blair caught her yawn and yawned himself. "I'm not sure exactly, I think the email said till seven."

Which normally would not be late for her. Except she was on a big old lack of sleep and concussed.

"That's going to take forever!"

"Yeah, I was hoping to go to the self defense thing tonight if they were having it." Blair looked around. "This is all sort of chaotic."

"Oh yeah, self defense. I usually go," she shrugged. "But it probably isn't such a good idea today."
