Faculty Meeting (Friday after classes)
After the student council cleared out, Zoe got the council room set up for yet another meeting, hoping all the teachers had gotten her handwavey email. Sure, classes had only been in session for a week, but she figured it was a good idea to check the new teachers for shell shock early. There were warm food and drinks set out (not the leftovers from the student council... at least, not totally) but nothing alcoholic. If people wanted to go that route, they would have to bring their own this time.
"Hello there, come on in and have a seat if you'd like," she said. "I thought it might be good for everyone to have a chance to get together without students around, and be inside where it's warm. I hope everyone's had a good first week. If you haven't, well, now you have a room full of people to vent to." It was the little things that helped make this job better.

Number one on both counts probably went to Betelgeuse, if only because Bob refused to give Johnny any first-place awards.

"So what brought you back to town?"
Was he looking for someone to piggyback ride on again, for instance?

"The school offered me a position," Bob answered. "So it was a mix of 'dear god, are those people unprepared for magical foes' and 'I'll get to wander around in something larger than a one-bedroom flat', really."

Either way.
"You're teachin' the magical defense class. I admit, that's one of the few I actually kinda wished I could take."

"Do they have adult extension classes here?" Bob asked. "I wouldn't mind teaching it."

He was damn well prepared for anything he knew how to prepare for, dammit.

Seeing was not actually a requirement for him to fight something. Them affecting the world around them in a tangible way he could sense, though, was.
