Classics/Foreign Lit, 2/28, Period 2
Dream has brought in coffee, tea and juice for his students this morning.
Foreign Lit: Your midterm assignment is to pick one of the works or writers we have studied thus far and writeor wiki/Google a 200 word critical reaction. This is due at the end of class Thursday. You may have this class period to begin work.
Classics: As I did last term, we will begin with an oral midterm. You have 20 minutes to review ancient Greek grammar and pronunciation, then please come to my desk one at a time for a brief conversation in Greek.
On Thursday, you will have class time to write a 100 word critical reaction to any piece of Greek literature that we have studied, or a comparable work.
[OOC: The written exams are due for real at some point before the end of spring break; I'll remind you again next week. It's 25 percent of your grade.]

//Good morning, Professor Dream,// he says. His speech is less hesitant now than last semester, but he's probably always going to pronounce the Greek with a bit of an odd accent.
Re: Classics, 2/28
//I believe you were interested in learning more of the Gods. Have you enjoyed that?//
Re: Classics, 2/28
He paused for a moment to formulate the next couple of phrases in his head before continuing, //I am enjoying this class, sir. I thought it might be too hard for me. It is a . . . it is difficult sometimes. But it is fun.//
Re: Classics, 2/28
He paused. //Could you
handwavegive an example of how your gods at home are different?//Re: Classics, 2/28
handwavilywent on to spend the next several minutes relating various differences between the Greek gods and the Lords of Kobol. He had to pause to correct himself or rephrase things in his head several times, and his pronunciation was a little spotty; it would improve in some places and falter rather spectacularly in others.Re: Classics, 2/28
