Zero came into the library, put her head down on the desk, and proceeded to nap most thoroughly.

About halfway through the period, Angela is tidying the desk for want of anything else to do.

She tries to put a heavy tape dispenser more or less directly where Zero is napping.

"I could swear you were not here a second ago."

"I came in ages ago!" Okay, maybe twenty minutes. But still. "An' I was right here the whole time!"

"I can be oblivious when I have my headphones on, but usually not that oblivious," Angela insisted.

She frowned. "Either way -- I didn't hurt you, did I?"

Zero scowled. "People have been ignorin' me all week. Or just not noticin' me. It's gettin' kind of old." She rubbed the back of her head a little. "No, I'm fine."

Angela shook her head. "I swear, I would have said hi when you came in. Maybe I dozed off and didn't realize it?"

"Anyhow. Um. Hi. How are you, other than head-hurty?"

"Seconded," Angela groaned. "And they're making Dean Washburn principal, did you hear? God knows where that leaves us."

Zero flopped back in her seat. "No, I didn't hear. Squall. She won't have time to be faffin' about in the library, then."

"Seriously," Angela agreed. "I mean, it's not like we need a librarian most of the time. But it would still be good to have one around, just so there's someone in charge if anybody, like, comes in looking for the Necroniomicon or something like that again."
