"Hello, everyone. Welcome to class. I hope you prepared your questions for today, because our guest speaker is here to discuss issues of security and law enforcement with you."

"Please welcome Constable Fraser of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the current head of Fandom High's security ~~and total dreamboat.~~"

"Today, you will be broken up into project groups. I am going to give you your topics, and what I'd like each group to do is come up with several discussion questions based on your topic.

If you have any questions or concerns, let me know."

Phoebe is cheerful and bouncy as she comes into class. In fact, she hasn't looked this happy and relaxed in months.

Draco is secure enough in his sexuality to admit to himself that Fraser was damn good looking man. When it was his turn to ask his question he asked Fraser "So what has been the most dangerous thing you have ever done?"

Lana darts a glance over at Professor Grissom, then slips over to Phoebe's side. "So? What happened?" Her face is all smiles.

Lana signs in and tries to think of a good discussion question. "I guess I'm kind of curious about groups that want to or claim to use magic as a link or path to the divine."

"Well, while there have been many a dangerous event, some of them even occurring at this school, the answer to that question takes me back to my time in Chicago," Fraser says. "There was a time where I stepped in front of a gun, of my own volition, not entirely knowing whether the owner of the gun would listen to me or pull the trigger. It was frightening. You see the gun, know that one small bullet could end your life and you're face your own mortality. Luckily, the owner of the gun listened to reason and chose not to shoot me that day. Thank you for your question."

Mac finds her group, she's very glad that this is a class that doesn't involve the use of paper.

Angela sits at her desk and drums her pencil against the desk, waiting for Walter and Broots.

Phoebe is beaming. "He chose life over death," she says proudly.

Lana closes her eyes in relief. "I'm so happy to hear that. And so glad for you!" She hugs Phoebe.

[ooc: I'm sorry, I know you mentioned that you'd have someplace for those locked in the danger shop to let you know. I must have missed it. I don't want Lana and Broots to wait around forever for Walter when he's not going to show. Unless they're supposed to wait around forever for him, in which case... sorry guys.]

She hugs her friend tightly.

"He decided that keeping the innocents from dying was more important than keeping his promise to Angelus. He wants to do good. Angel is going to help him."

[ooc: Or Angela and Broots as the case may be. *headdesk*]

"Thank God. I tried to get him to go to Angel, told him that *I'd* even go if he wanted. I'm so glad he did finally. You must be so happy!"

Shep comes up to the prof and very respectfully says, "Uh... that isn't at all what I signed up for last week."

At some point, he should notice a letter on his desk.

If you should deign to open your office refrigerator, you will find a lunch that should be a bit more appealing than the salad you threw together this morning.

Said lunch contains a roast beef sandwich and a cup of chocolate pudding.

Actually, it's a peace offering. The dog knocked over your fetal pig. Sorry about that. Want me to get you another one?

"No, it isn't," Grissom says, seemingly unconcerned.

[That's my bad. I didn't mean for last week to turn into a sign-up thing, it was a supposed to be a discussion, but it went that way so I hung with it. So a few people, so I could make groups, ended up with topics that weren't exactly what their character expressed interest in, but I tried to make the groups workable/fun and give you a topic where you could bring in your character's interest. So you could take a science-y angle on the history. As you made up your own damn topic anyway, you minx, so I didn't have a group for you. Sorry!]

Hey! You said "or whatever"... so I picked 'whatever'! :) But I get it. Thanks for the explanation.

Piper nods at Lana. "I'm curious about that as well. I'm also curious about groups who claim magic is harmful and can only lead to a path of evil."
