Parker poured her a cup of the almond roast, then sat down, rolling her eyes. "Fairly well, considering I still have Thrace to worry about. The two obsessions kind of balance each other out in my head."
"Oh, no fear. That's the last thing I want to do, is make myself sick over some guy. Either guy. Any guy." Parker rubbed her face, then found a smile somewhere. "The England trip is going to help. I'm trying to make a list of all the places I want to visit, including, ta-da, Stratford-on-Avon."
"Yeah, I know," Rory agreed heavily. "But there's the summer. And maybe some people'll stay here after graduation, or something. Or we'll see them again, somehow." She paused. "Wait, Geoff's leaving? That sucks."
"Okay," she said. "Geoff Chaucer's leaving. I'm a little sad I won't get to take another class with him. Also, I'm freezing and it's horrible outside."
"Damn! And I never got to take a class with him, either. He was nice the one or two times I've talked to him, but that's a shame." She shook her head. "It's not the best weather, is it?"
She laughed at Angela's question. "How much time have you got? And how much stupid adolescent idiocy can you stand to hear about?"
Rory had a script of her own, and was making notes in the margins. "What do you think would be good in the way of costumes?" she asked no one in particular. "Actual Elizabethan might be tough, and then period costumes would end up being lameish, I think."
"Something that won't fall off, down, or apart," Parker said firmly. "And possibly leather, if the Gremlin Baby Jesus looks like it wants out from its muzzle."
Zero nodded enthusiastically. "We could do Oberon's court as punks and Titania's as, like, fanciful Goths. Because of that creepy lullaby. I think I could get a kilt for Lee."
"That would be fun to wear. And a kilt for Lee--" Parker's grin is evil, "--would be fun for everyone. And I would love to see Callisto in something emo. Although the concept breaks my brain."
All it took was the mental image of Lee in a kilt for Rory to immediately say, "I'll talk to Cordy and Professor Dream. Because this could be kind of awesome."
