Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

Mac stumbles into the supply room with Pippi's support.

"All right kids. If we don't want to be stuck in here we're going to have to find a way to deactivate Hal. We need to find a way to get to Hal's access panel and turn him off. Then we should be able to get the safety locks back on and turn off the program manually."

John crawls into the supply closet and leans heavily against one of the walls.

Mac told Pippi where a med kit was and she has retrieved it.

She looks over at... Which one is this again?

Zero was right, they needed their names branded on their foreheads...

"Are you okay..." she ventured a guess, "John?"

"Where is his access panel?" asked Pippi keeping an eye on the door.

Pip follows Pippi and make into the Supply Room. He listens to Mac's explanation and nods. "How are you, Mac? Need any medical attention or anything?"

Pippi looks around for a first aid kit but doesn't see one right off.

"You need some yourself Pip, you have a head wound."

She makes a face and coughs. Several metal rods are coughed up. Literally.

Kawalsky and Sam met up in the last few moments before both of them dived through the door to the supply room to miss a volley of shots being fired at them. They landed safely enough. Even a semester at high school wasn't enough to make them forget years of training.

Kawalsky rolled over onto his back and looked over at Sam. "Not what I was expecting for class."

Sam shook her head. "Me neither."

"Sure as hell don't miss this part."

"Can't say I do either."

Kawalsky shrugged, caught his breath and they both got up to check on the others.

Sam checked for injuries. So far, she was at least mobile. That was good, and better than a lot of other times.

Mac hobbles/crawls over to a supply closet and starts pulling out various chemicals and starts mixing them together in a bottle.

"Here's the plan guys. The access panel is on the far end of the room. What I'm going to do here is toss this smoke bomb in there. When that happens-" Mac holds up his remote control, "One of you needs to click this button. It will summon a subset of the Danger Shop programming that will supply the weapons that were used by the gun club last week. Unfortunately it will not turn off the program Hal has running."

"So when I throw the bomb? Anyone who wants to try to get to the access panel should grab a weapon and fight their way to the access panel."

"Probably Walter," Pip says. "Unless someone else is hiding superhuman speed and didn't tell us about it."

Walter shrugged. "Unless anyone here says otherwise, that would be me." He no longer assumed he was the fastest after meeting Alfred.

Also? I think we should wait a bit for the others to chime in on planning before we get the power up and win the game. :)

Kawalsky didn't think giving everyone weapons, even fake ones, was such a good idea.

"Just...don't shoot randomly," he said after Mac was done. "And remember - bullets bounce."

Xander raises a hand. Fun mostly-secret powers are one thing, but attacking robots are another. "I dunno if this'll help, because I dunno what your whacko-attacko-droids are running their sensors on? But I seem to have a case of tv-channel TK this week. If that can help at all."

The Plan - To Sum up

"Okay, so we think Walter is the fastest and most agile, and I guess I'm the strongest. Soooo, Professor MacGyver tosses his smoke bomb and hits the button. I'll try to brute force as many robots out of the way as I can while Walter runs like a crazed rabbit and Xander uses his power to interfere with their sensors and everybody who wants to moves forward taking out as many robots they can while staying as safe as they can in case the particularly fast or strong people don't make it? ... Is that a good plan?"


[ooc: I can see Mac wants to get going but we may want to wait a bit until Sam, Janet, and Nadia have a chance to chime in? Yes/no?

Lilly stares in disbelief. But she can't die, and most of her classmates can, so she hopes they're cool enough to scrape her up if she gets all dismembered and grabs a weapon.

Xander scrambles in behind John, and watches for Nadia, tossing a couple more flaming twinkies out the door towards the robots in her vicinity.

Pippi has finished cleaning up Pip's headwound with the midkit supplies when she turns and sees Xander... with blood on his face.

"Xander? I don't know if you are aware? But you're bleeding. Would you like some help?"
