Detention, Saturday, February 25th 2006

Fraser's standing quietly at the front of the classroom, waiting for those with detention to file in and take their seats.

The names are listed on the board.

When everyone is seated, Fraser starts speaking. "I'm sure you all know why you've been called here today. Whether it be for misbehavior, disrespect to a teacher, not going to class or, and sorry Mr. Sandburg, being the winner of a very peculiar lottery, you have all earned detention in one way or another. It's an unfortunate circumstance and one I'm sure you do not wish to repeat. We will begin activities shortly, we will break for lunch, and there will be more activites after lunch. If everything is successful, I will dismiss you in the early evening. Any questions?"

"I'm...not certain if that's allowed." Fraser rubs his chin. "Miss Morgendorffer, would you be attempting to get in trouble the week I run detention?"

"I would never do a thing like that!" Quinn objects. "I never get into trouble."

"Then you won't be seeing any detentions that way," Fraser says.

"You cuold tell me when you have detention so I can be especially sure not to get in trouble those weeks," she suggests. "And if I did get in trouble and needed detention, you could give me a really long, thorough lecture on why it was bad."

Fraser can only laugh. "You are very unique, Miss Morgendorffer."

Quinn looks alarmed. "Oh my god," she says, worried.

"What?" Fraser looks a bit nervous. "I meant it as a compliment!"

"Oh," she says, and blinks.

Then smiles. "Thanks!"

"You're welcome," Fraser answers. "Now, go enjoy your Saturday night!"

Quinn pouts. "Fine," she says, and heads for the door. With her slobbered-on makeup bag.

Xander, so far un-kicked-out, surreptitiously hands Dief another chip, and might, just possibly, look smug at Quinn's back. Silence for the win, OMG!

Fraser turns back around and smiles at Xander and Dief. "He seems like you. I'll have to keep you in mind in case I need a dogsitter."

Xander raises both eyebrows, then grins. "As long as he likes frogs, Dief's always welcome." He ruffled the wolf's ears, then looked down at him. "Um. Not to eat, though."

"Thank you, Xander." Fraser grins and packs up his things. "I hink I'm going to return to my room now. If you're heading back to the dorms, Dief and I could accompany you."

"I think I could be persuaded to amble in that direction, yeah," Xander replies with a small smile, opening the door.
