BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge- Saturday morning
A few days ago Gwen saw New York destroyed and drowned and her friend/roommate/surrogate brother type was presumed dead for a while- got a really amazing obituary for his alter-ego and everything. Today she was waiting for a portal that was going to take her to a school in Maryland. She was actually looking forward to school, just to get back to doing normal things again, but the timing was weird.
She seemed to be the first one here, and the banner meant she was probably in the right seat, so.
Gwen would be the sullen-looking girl sitting under the glittery Fandom High banner and showing too much midriff. And occasionally brushing at the top of her head with her hand because she was convinced the glitter was probably raining down on her.

Re: Wait for the shuttle
She didn't think for one minute it was because her mom missed her and wanted to spend every last moment together before they were parted again. Her mom just wanted a personal guarantee that Evie was going where she was supposed to, rather than somehow making a break for it and running away to...wherever there was to run away to in Maryland.
At least there's no mistaking where I'm supposed to be," she said aloud, pausing in front of her pile of matching luggage while she stared at the be-glittered sign. "Where's the sign with macrame?"

Maybe that was why she was being sent to Fandom. Not everyone could be the brand of super-crazy that Evie was.
...Right?
"Or do you think we have to work our way up to special sign-making privileges with good behavior?"

because Evie was kind of judgmental, omg, but she wasn't going to argue. "Well, the brochure said we were going to school in a castle," she pointed out. "Maybe they'll have maps or something? Either to hand out or mounted on a wall with a little 'You are here' sticker."Re: Wait for the shuttle

With a hearty dose of maternal guilt for foisting her off to another school for crazy people.
"We got the spiel and before Mom had even finished flipping through the brochure, she was making out a check for the tuition and scheduling plane tickets."
