Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

It was finally warming up again. Still kind of cool, at least for the girl from L.A., but it was no longer the bitter misery that had been the last picnic.

Outdoor picnics in January were just barbaric.

Taking advantage of the warmth and the sunshine, Kathy had found a nice stretch of grass to spread her hoodie on (for when it got chilly later as it inevitably would), with a several plates full of food spread out around her and her new comics in a pile next to her.

Sure, it was Newbie Day. But it was also Free Comic Book day, the weekend the Arachnid Guy movie came out. Like Kathy had been about to pass that opportunity up!
