Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Apes look kind of like humans, right?" Pinkie said. "They don't even have hooves."

"We'll that's like saying horses and donkeys are the same," Barry said with a frown. "And he was a huge fucking ape too!"

Pinkie tilted her head. "Well, it might be like saying that horses and donkeys look the same. Which they kinda do. Way more than horses and buffalo or horses and cows."

Barry suddenly realized he was not going to win this argument against pink pony logic.

"We'll do you have humans where you live?"

"Nope! I kind of thought you were all hairless bears at first."

"Oh come on! Our hands don't even look like bear claws!"

Pinkie rolled her eyes. "I know that now," she said. "But I didn't even know what those weird little fingery things were when I got here."

The closest she'd seen were Spike's dragon claws, after all.

Again... You can't argue with pink pony logic.

"All right. I'll buy that. So does that make you a student too?"

Pinkie laughed and laughed.

And laughed.

"Oh no, silly! I'm one of the teachers. I'm all grown up, see?" She pointed to her cutie mark with her nose.

Because that would clearly mean something to the guy who'd gone blue streak over the fact that she could talk.

"Of course you are... What's the topic? Shaving bears so they look human?"

". . . That would be a pretty terrible class topic," Pinkie said. "I teach friendship! And this time, it'll be about being friends through playing games."

"... We'll you seem pretty good at being friendly," Barry said cautiously. "What kind of games are there going to be?"

"Oh all kinds of stuff! Like tag and poker and pie fights and capture the flag and almost anything, really!"

"Sounds like fun!" Barry said, "But it doesn't sound like a standard curriculum..."

He said to a talking pink pony.

"Well, it's summer!" Pinkie pointed out.

Also, she wasn't 100% sure what a curriculum was.
