Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

After no small amount of consideration and website surfing, Raven had chosen a nice little yellow gingham number for the picnic, today.

She picked a nice sunny little spot to sit down with her plate of food and watch the new students from. It was always interesting, seeing the range of people who came to the school. And just how they reacted when things went weirder than they were used to.

"Loki," Raven greeted with a nod and a small smile. "Met any interesting new students, yet?"

"My sibling seems distressingly normal," he replied. "Hopefully the island will not scare her too much."

"If she can stick it out, then she'll be ready for anything at all," Raven said. "My sibling has so much hair." Sorry, Rapunzel. She will learn way more about you, but we haven't gotten that far in their conversation, yet. "Like, she has to hold it in a big bundle to her chest to walk around."

YOU'RE NOT SORRY AT ALL.

"We can only hope," Loki said. "As long as I keep an eye on her, I suppose."

Then he looked for the girl with all that hair. "Do you think she is going for a world record?"

"I think she could already have it. Possibly several times over." IT WAS SO MUCH HAIR, LOKI. "Have you had many new kid siblings? Rapunzel's only my second one."

"I have," he replied. "Though I have also been here longer. And it was my duty as a member of the student council."

Which he would rule with an iron fist in the fall.

"Yes, but first you must learn what is normal to them," Loki replied. "I would not have started with 'odd powers' should I have had you as a little sibling, for instance."

"You might have," Raven said. "When I first got here, I didn't let anyone know I was a mutant. Even after they mentioned mutants in their universes, or that there were other blue students."

It still didn't generally come up in casual conversation, though she was getting more and more comfortable with people knowing.

"I do know your name," he pointed out. Which was apparently enough with some people in Marvel. Some people who Loki had done team ups with.

Or, rather, they were all too nice to break it to her that she was evil.

"I believe it was more in passing," he said, also unwilling to break the evil thing to her. "I had more dealings with Magneto than you. And Dr. Doom."

Which was a real country. That existed.
