Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Ichabod looked at the stranger, frowning a little.

"Is there a reason why I shouldn't be?" he asked. "One that I am not aware of?"

It was an odd question. He wasn't looking ill, or confused, was he?

"You are new," Loki said kindly. "They all have a certain look about them."

"And what look is that, if I may ask?" Ichabod replied, guessing the boy might be referring to a confused expression, which would mean he wasn't the only one.

"I think you will figure that one out with enough time spent here," Loki replied, tilting his head as he thought it through.

Not sure what the boy was trying to get at, Ichabod said: "I have come to the conclusion that I'm not the ony one to find this an unusual place. Unless perhaps you are from another 'planet' and travel in 'space ships'. But forgive me, I forget my manners. My name is Ichabod Crane."

"Ah, no. I am from Oklahoma." Sort of. "It is nice to meet you, Ichabob. I am Loki."

"Ichabod," he corrected. It is a pleasure to meet you too, Loki. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the whereabouts of Oklahoma."

Aww, he liked his version better.

"Oklahoma?" Loki asked. "It is very far west of here, on the great plains of America. It is also a deeply boring place, so the less known, the better."

"Ah, the great plains of America." He couldn't believe he was actually believeing this. At least it wasn't another 'planet'. "How unfortunate it is boring. I take it this place is not."

Ichabod still wasn't sure what to make of Loki.
