Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

There was tea at the food table? That was good enough for Elsa.

Almost good enough for Elsa. She'd noticed that there were also chocolate squares of some sort, and so she had a napkin with a couple of those on there, as well.

How she was going to eat them without removing her gloves was anybody's best guess, but she was confident that she would figure it out. She took a spot at one of the tables and contented herself to people-watch while sipping her tea.

"The gloves begin to become conspicuous when food is involved," Loki suggested, taking a seat near her, knees drawn up to his chest.

"And I would have gotten away with it, too, if there hadn't been chocolate at the table," Elsa replied, turning a wry smile in Loki's direction. "I ought to have grabbed a fork, I suppose."

Yes, that would have made sense.

"Oh yes, that would have been a good idea," he assured her. "Perhaps mention a sun allergy of some sort?"

That had worked for that X-Men, right?

And probably half the vampires on the island, at that.

"Perhaps," she allowed. "I've mostly just been informing people that it's only proper manners for a lady where I'm from to keep her hands covered."

It was absolute bull, but it wasn't as though anyone here had even heard of Arendelle in the first place. She could get away with a fair bit.

"Are they?" Loki asked, smelling that lie already. As was obvious by his smirk.

Elsa smiled faintly and picked up her tea, smiling into the cup.

"For some."

For her, in particular. It wouldn't do to accidentally freeze anyone to death.

Which would be rude at best, it was true.

He offered over a plastic fork. "I am certain you are a fully proper lady then. How lucky for us all."

"Thank you," Elsa replied, reaching for the offered fork. It was easier to do when dealing with Loki, of all people. She wasn't exactly worried about freezing a frost giant, after all. "How is your day going so far, Loki?"

"There is free food and no rain. I believe this will be a most fortuitous day for us all."

He was going to take all the food and then play video games after this. Let's be honest.

"We all seem to be ourselves, at that," Elsa agreed. "Really, I haven't been given any cause to complain yet, either."

She hadn't even gotten chocolate in her gloves!

"Shh, you mustn't let the island think we need to be kept on our toes."

"True enough," Elsa agreed, delicately taking a piece from her chocolate square with her fork. "It's good enough at doing that even when there aren't new people all over the place."

"At least we shall be more aware of what might happen to us than the newer students," he added. "And I have enough in my closet to fit as a woman, elder self, and pony."

Look, he needed his capelet as a pony, okay?

"I... Huh." Elsa blinked. "I wasn't aware that ponies were a thing here, too."

She learned something new every day!
