Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Throughout the lawn, tables and chairs had been set up and scattered, some out in the bright, sunny center of everything, and some in the darker, more remote areas.

Eat up, folks! Don't let that food go to waste!

[OCD up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Seifer wasn't the type to pass up the picnic. Mostly for the shock factor. It was always fun to see the newbies freak out.

Plus, it was easier to just toss some 'Needful Things is Hiring' flyers on one of the tables instead of hoping someone wandered to that corner of the island.

Also, food. Lots of food. And he was filling up his plate.

Kathy picked up a flier to read it. "What's a Needful Things?" she asked.

That wasn't the sex shop in town, right? Because...well, sex shop.

"It's an antique shop," Seifer told her. "Old things tend to just show up."

Hey, it wasn't her fault 'Needful Things' sounded awfully...suggestive. Blame it on being a teenager.

"An antique shop? On an island that caters to teenagers?" Kathy was looking pretty dubious. "Wait, no, forget teenagers. Do you really want antiques on an island that gets invaded on a regular basis?"

Seifer had to laugh. "Seriously, I don't ask her. Not after the baby island threw drop bears and crazy dolls at my graduation. She gave me the keys, I run the shop."

"Her?" Kathy asked. "Baby island?"

Sure, she'd seen the tiny island off the coast of Fandom, but she'd never thought of it as a baby island before. It was just...small.

Hey, the island was female. Seifer totally believed that. "Yep. It started growing a few years ago, the Island got a little... weirder, around that time."

Little was putting it mildly, but he didn't want to totally freak this girl out, he didn't know how new she was. "Anyway, I guess it got all jealous at graduation, and spewed up toys at us."
