Self-Expression- Monday- 4th period
Class was in the Danger Shop today, which was done up to look like a small gym. Kitty had figured that there would be more than enough room, plus anyone who had to deal with small children could take them off to the side if there were any problems.
With her was Lexi, who looked really pretty excited about being in class. "Hey, everyone," Kitty said. "Once again the usual plan got thrown out because of Fandom, but that's okay. For anyone new in here, I'm Kitty and this is Lexi, and today we're going to work on self-expression through a dance party. Yes, you have to. Don't be shy, we're here to have fun today."
And then she hit play on the totally safe, kid-friendly pop music and you all were just going to have to deal with it.

With the vague shuffling.

"I'm sure you'll find someone you like enough to dance with," he said, smiling a bit. "Maybe even before the next dance."

"I doubt you looked foolish," he told her with a shake of his head. "I mean, you're pretty. You know that, right?"
Re: Dance party!
She caught herself quickly, though. "Um. No. I mean, no one...tells me that. Ever. Thank you." And here she'd thought she'd hit her capacity for blushing already.
Re: Dance party!
Well, blush. He laughed again.
"Sorry."
Re: Dance party!
Re: Dance party!
That made no sense. Well, maybe a little sense.
Re: Dance party!
Eloquent.

Because he thought himself uncoordinated in certain situations.
Re: Dance party!
She was mostly teasing. There was very little chance of her ever asking anyone to dance.

He shrugged. "I would have gotten bored, I think. I'll look for you at the next dance."
Re: Dance party!
It wasn't that short. It was short for like, the 1950s.
"Made my very reluctant dancing easier, though."
Re: Dance party!
Well, he thought she was pretty already and dresses just brought that out more in girls, he'd learned.
"Next time," he said, nodding.
Re: Dance party!
She slanted a look at him. "Did you wear a suit?" The few boys in suits that she'd seen had been very sharp, she'd thought. Much less stuffy than what a formal event might call for back home.
Re: Dance party!
Success.
Re: Dance party!
"You're not dancing!" Margaret accused, bouncing over to them. She eyed Will. "Hello."
